Jungle Bay’s very own Dominica Roast: Traditional Coffee Roasting

At Jungle Bay we are always trying to think of innovative ways of providing fresh, local products for our guests. Hence, our new addition of Dominica locally bought, roasted and ground on site coffee. Here are some pictures from the first round of roasting. In the following photo series watch Margeret (expert coffee roaster since birth) and Anthea (Housekeeping Team Leader) as they take the husked, whitish coffee beans and roast them into a dark delectable that every guest will be able to brew in their room. What a treat! The next project, once the coffee is instated, is to create local bush teas and bag them to be brewed in the rooms as well.
